Θα αργήσει τελικά να έρθει στην Ελλάδα όπως δείχνουν τα πράγμα η διάσημη πλέον συνδρομητική υπηρεσία Disney+ που αριθμεί πλέον πάνω από 28 εκατομμύρια ενεργούς χρήστες.
Πρόσφατα σε ένα κάλεσμα για επενδύσεις, ο Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος Bob Iger είπε χαρακτηριστικά ότι το Disney + εξακολουθεί να αναπτύσσεται και πλέον από τη Δευτέρα που μας πέρασε αριθμεί 28,6 εκατομμύρια πελάτες παγκοσμίως και όπως φαίνεται θα ξεπεράσει τις προσδοκίες των στελεχών της Disney που είναι να φτάσουν τα 60 με 90 εκατομμύρια συνδρομητές μέχρι το 2024, σύμφωνα με το Hollywood Reporter.
Η διάσημη πλέον συνδρομητική υπηρεσία ξεκίνησε πρώτα στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες, τον Καναδά και τις Κάτω Χώρες στις 13 Νοεμβρίου 2019, ενώ στις 19 Νοεμβρίου 2019 στην Αυστραλία, τη Νέα Ζηλανδία και το Πουέρτο Ρίκο και θα ξεκινήσει στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, τη Γαλλία, την Ισπανία, την Ιταλία, τη Γερμανία, την Ιρλανδία και τις “άλλες χώρες της Δυτικής Ευρώπης” στις 24 Μαρτίου φέτος.
Προς το τέλος του έτους, αναμένεται να ξεκινήσει στην Ανατολική Ευρώπη και τη Λατινική Αμερική, περίπου τον Οκτώβριο του 2020.
Τον Δεκέμβριο του 2019, ανακοινώθηκε ότι το Canal + θα είναι ο αποκλειστικός διανομέας της Disney + στη Γαλλία ενώ ανακοινώθηκε ότι το Disney + θα ξεκινήσει στην Ινδία στις 29 Μαρτίου 2020 μέσω του Hotstar.
Από ότι φαίνεται έμεινε η Ελλαδίτσα μας και κατά πάσα πιθανότητα το Disney+ θα είναι διαθέσιμο στη χώρα μας στις αρχές του 2021.
Το πακέτο της Disney + προσφέρει δωρεάν δοκιμή μιας εβδομάδας και συνδρομή 6,99 δολάρια το μήνα ή 69,99 δολάρια το χρόνο. Τον Αύγουστο η εταιρεία ανακοίνωσε την προσφορά ενός συνδρομητικού πακέτου 3 ετών για τα μέλη του επίσημου fan club με μόλος 141 δολάρια, δηλαδή λιγότερα από 4 ευρώ το χρόνο.
Το Disney Plus ξεκίνησε με περίπου 500 ταινίες και 7.500 τηλεοπτικά επεισόδια στις εταιρίες Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars και National Geographic.
Το Disney + θα επικεντρωθεί στο κινηματογραφικό και τηλεοπτικό περιεχόμενο από τα Walt Disney Studios και την Walt Disney Television. Σχεδιάζονται επίσης πρωτότυπες ταινίες και τηλεοπτικές σειρές βασισμένες σε νέες και υπάρχουσες ιδιότητες, συμπεριλαμβανομένου του περιεχομένου της Disney, της 20th Century Fox, των Lucasfilm /Star Wars , της Marvel , του National Geographic και της Pixar.
